Fields

I woke up during the night and had no idea where I was! It felt like a real luxury to sleep late, but I really needed it. After breakfast, I headed out in the sunshine for a walk. It was really warm, a shorts day, except I had no shorts with me.  I walked a usual route, but extended it a wee bit by using a new path. It was very clear and bright, and the views were just stunning in all directions.

Later I took my mum and dad into town and we did a wee bit of shopping, before heading home for lunch. We then got ourselves ready to go to my cousin’s funeral. It was a lovely service, very sad, but a real celebration of her life. As ever at funerals, it was nice to meet up with family we haven’t seen for ages.

We had a lovely drive home, and didn’t get back to my mum and dad’s till after 7pm. I had been thinking about then driving home, but decided to stay another night.

We had an easy tea, then a quiet evening. It was a beautiful evening, so I went out for another wee walk, and admired the views.

I liked the bold colours of these fields against the blue sky. The extra is a view from our journey home this evening, and a hare which I spotted in a field this evening.
