Down By The Seaside

Went through to Barrow this morning to meet Stu for a coffee. Took the bike - not going to waste this good weather - and came back along the coast road. Absolutely glorious cruising along in the sunshine, looking across Morecambe Bay, and I stopped a couple of times to take a photo. Just a shame that the tide was out, but you can’t have everything.
This afternoon we did a bit of packing, so we can get away early tomorrow morning, before settling down to watch the F1 qualifying highlights followed by the Eurovision Song Contest. I wonder how many points UK will get. I like the song, but a good song doesn’t really count for anything when it comes to the voting process. It’s more about who borders who or which countries have strong cultural ties. As a small island, literally and metaphorically separated from Europe, can it really be such a surprise that we don’t do very well with the “popular” vote?…
