A walking day

We decided to leave the van at the campsite and walk cross-country to Perranporth. It was a most enjoyable walk, filled with a variety of scenes and mainly “far from the maddening crowd”. Coming over the hill and being faced with almost-deserted beautiful golden beaches to the north (extra) and south of us (main) and a deep aquamarine sea was quite breath-taking.
Eventually, we made it into Perranporth and found somewhere for a spot of lunch before wending our way back to the campsite for a relaxing evening.
PS Despite frequent drinks of water, we felt that Bertie was wilting in the hot sun on our return journey so Nick gave him a bit of a rest until we reached the shade of the woods. (Second extra)
