Another extraordinary day
Yet more wall to wall sunshine. It almost becomes hard to relax into it and to enjoy it....But not that hard. See the extra of allium in the front.
This morning we did stuff around the garden. Putting in plant supports. Sorting out the remains of the grass at the back so that it's suitable for visitors. That sort of thing. Then we went to Pipers for morning coffee and a bacon roll. Excellent.
Through the afternoon, more garden stuff. Nothing major. Just the bits and pieces that constantly need doing. I popped out for some shopping and to refill the car with petrol before I leave. Mr A was drilling holes in the wall to put in wires to encourage the honeysuckle to spread when I left.
I went to The Port for a swim at about 4.30pm. Again....absolutely brilliant. Sunny. Warm (14 degrees in the sea) and a lovely 25 minute swim. Some people went further than others. I've not bothered with my dry robe this week. The towelling robe has been more than sufficient. Other extras....
Back in the garden to eat and then more after dinner drinks, pinioned to the wall by the sunshine until it finally went below our horizon at about 8.30. With fresh watering, the garden must be absolutely loving this weather. I am also loving it!
