Installation

There was a lot going on at the Farmers' Market this morning. right across the road from the parking lot they were installing a sculpture at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.At first I just thought they were putting a few more rocks in the garden but upon closer inspection I could tell that these weren't just ordinary rocks. In fact, they might not be rocks at all because the flatbed truck they are on is very long, and the yellow lift across the road is designed to lift a lot more than a couple of people. We'll have to go back next week to see what it looks like.

Which reminds me...last week the giant hand sculpture called 'Agraria' in front of the horrible mall was lifted and taken away to it's new home in a sculpture garden outside Geyserville. People either loved or hated it, but nobody was consulted about it being removed, presumably because a PF Chang restaurant is going into the horrible mall and they want parking right in front of the restaurant entrance. There are literally acres of parking right on the other side of the building....

There was a youth orchestra giving an outdoor concert next to the farmers' market and a the library van was parked at the market.  I would post a picture of it but I keep getting a 'policy expired' message. Does anybody know what that means?

We took Spike for a brisk walk through the sculpture garden.

Back home we were eating our lunch when a little sparrow barreled into the window, dropped to the windowsill and sat there stunned for quite awhile. While I was investigating that I noticed a dark drop of ..blood possibly on the inside windowsill. John suggested that perhaps it was That Damn Bird  on her foray into the living room yesterday. Apparently, having finally made it inside she has decided it wasn't worth it because she hasn't been back even though I took the newspapers off the front door. 

That's the excitement from here for today. We have taken to watching Squirrel videos instead of watching what passes for the news. See for yourself
