Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding

Done the traditional way.

I remember from MANY years ago my Grandmother and indeed my Great Grandmother telling my mother what she was doing was NOT a Yorkshire pudding.  A Yorkshire Pudding was a batter pudding cooked under the joint collecting all the juices.  All else is just a batter pudding, in spite of what Aunt Bessie might tell you . . . (and all the others)!

I think she amended her ways, and both Mrs W and myself always cook the Yorkshire Pudding under (or with) the joint.  Please excuse the joining line in the joint as I had started carving before I had realised that I had not taken the intended photo.

Success

Yesterday’s efforts on the anemometer were not in vain!  Not much wind, but at least it’s working again.  3mph may not be much, but it did gust at 10mph.
