Log lizard
Today I discovered a log lizard on the banks of the River Tay :-)
I have agonised over which shot to make my main blip for the day: Mr hazelh or the unfurling fronds amongst the bluebells? In the end, I couldn't resist my one true love, so here he is. The plants can be found in the extra.
We set off by car for Dunkeld after breakfast. After parking at the Hermitage, we walked a seven mile almost-loop that took us uphill through the trees to a picnic spot in a sunny glade, then back to the car park by retracing some of our steps and following the river. It was very warm. The lack of rain over the past few weeks was very obvious in the dried-up beds of the mountain streams and the low level of the Tay.
We sought further refreshments in the village after we completed our walk. We bought delicious ice creams from a wee shop in the main street. I chose tablet, and Mr hazelh tayberry. Then it was time to drive home again, water the plants, cook supper, and collapse.
Tomorrow's fun will be another bike ride.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; walking (22,660 steps).
