Azure Damselfly

First of all I want to thank all of you for your very kind reaction to my stonechat blips yesterday.  The comments, hearts and stars were much appreciated, one and all ;))

When I was out this morning I walked through an absolute cloud of these beautiful creatures.  It was hard to know which way to turn to get a picture.  I've been looking up their life cycle but it hasn't really told me why there should be so many together.  Possibly it's the heat that has pushed them to emerge from the water in such numbers. 

This was taken after my visit to a very nice new doctor who wants me to have another blood test.  Really, the amount of blood I've donated to the NHS over the years!  It did involve four bus rides, but their smooth running makes it look as though Winchester's huge batch of recent roadworks might finally be coming to an end, which would be a relief.

And two of my rose bushes have started flowering, so I'm happy ;))
