“There is a way through the woods…..”

Our lovely chiropodist came this morning and made our feet feel lovely once again!
After our lunch we went for a walk in Sutton Park. It is usually quiet at 2:00pm The morning dog walkers and walking groups, plus others like cyclists all tend to be there early.

Warm hazy sunshine
Dust dry paths crunching underfoot,
Silent sentinels of ancient woodland whose
Translucent leaves are lit by filtered rays,
Look up and gaze….
Be enveloped in their grandeur,
Wrapped around by calm,
Cross the bridge by the shining stream
And move on………
