It's been a very busy birthday with ballet this morning, teaching my Balkan class this afternoon and community choir this evening.  While I was out this afternoon, my darling husband made me this delicious looking birthday cake, laden with butter icing, which we'll have tomorrow when my sister and brother-in-law come to lunch.  We're too busy to enjoy it today!  

And I was very touched this afternoon when one of my class (pictured in extras) brought in some delicious little cakes, each with a letter on top to spell out Happy Birthday - what a lovely surprise!  J is seen here signing the card which another of the class had made with a group photo of us all, taken last year, dancing on the front.  People are so kind and thoughtful!
