Reflections . . .

……………… in the Arrow River this afternoon.

Another crisp -3° frost this morning, followed by a beautiful day. I’d had to go in to Arrowtown so walked Missy along the river - where those reflections were.

I met up with my Groupe Français mates this afternoon and we shared our histoires with each other. It’s always great fun.
We discovered that there’s a common root in the French word coucher - to sleep - and English couch - as in sofa. Apparently they come from an old word Couche, from the Old French couchier "to lay down, place; go to bed, put to bed," and from Latin collocare. Fascinating!
