Life is a Challenge!

WELCOME RAIN!

When I woke up this morning, I could hear the cars going past and it sounded as if the road was wet, so I looked out of the window and sure enough, it had rained and was still raining.  I swear our grass looks greener already!  Mr. HCB is pleased and so are all the plants - in fact, I’m sure I could hear them all and could see them nodding their heads and saying “Thank you!”

I wandered around the garden taking photographs of the various flowers and they are all looking better for having some rain.  The middle shot in the collage is the “cut and come again” lettuce that Mr. HCB planted a few weeks ago - you can’t beat it fresh from the garden!Mr.

HCB has gone out into the garden, now that the rain appears to have stopped, to sort out his new greenhouse - he says he thinks he knows what he is going to do - but I am not asking any questions.  I will just leave him to it.

Just had a new pane fitted in our bedroom window by a local company and they have done a great job, so as our kitchen window is looking a bit dodgy, may get them to fit a complete new window before too long.  It’s good when these jobs get done and even better when you are happy with the way they are done.  When we spoke to the Dave, the owner, he said they were a family business and had been replacing windows for over 30 years, so we are pleased to be able to put business their way.

Have a lovely day and I hope that the rain has reached you, all our gardens were desperate for it, but also hope that it doesn’t keep raining!  Having said that, we have just had a cloudburst, so it was a good job I hadn’t gone out to catch the bus or I would have got drenched.  M xx
