IT'S THURSDAY, SO...
...it must be Community Fridge Day!
It was a very busy morning at the Community Fridge today with 169 through the doors - and it would have been 170 - as a man came and rattled the doors at 2.20 after we had closed at 2 o’clock. He seemed quite aggressive, but we just shouted to him that we were closed and he eventually moved off.
It was a really busy morning but we all worked together well - especially the lovely Rosa, who was busy de-eyeing more potatoes and you can see her, still smiling, at the bottom of my collage.
We had lots of different produce, as you can see and I rather liked the cross at the top, which I saw when I went upstairs to get some anti-bac spray from the Cleaners’ Storecupboard. The cross reminded me, with the houses in the background, that we do all we do, as Christians, for this community and beyond, so THANK YOU to all our volunteers. As we often say, "Team Work makes the Dream Work!"
Sorry this is short and sweet but we have a Church Meeting this evening and I need to have a quick shower, before cooking our evening meal and then going to the meeting. For that reason, there probably won’t be much commenting - so apologies in advance.
The extra shows Mr. HCB inside his new greenhouse - taken early this morning - I thought he had rumbled me, but he said he didn’t see me taking this. He said he had managed to get the cover on by himself, but would have called me if he hadn't been able to manage. I just hope that all the effort will produce lots of peppers!
Have a good evening. M xx
