Focus Bracketing
In the not so distant past, the only way to get a display into focus from back to front was to use a focusing rail. You had to move the camera forward a few mm at a time on the rail until you had a collection of photos which, when merged, gave a rendition all in focus. My focusing rail languishes in the spare bedroom. The Fuji X range of cameras offers focus bracketing which makes the process automatic. I expect purists would disagree but focus bracketing is OK for what I want to achieve.
This is a bunch of peonies from the Flower Lady.
We had to get up at the unholy hour of 7 am today to reach Leicester General Hospital in time for Len's appointment at 0845. Of course, we were late. It took us at least half an hour just to get out of Shepshed and Loughborough. I phoned ahead to explain. In the end I think we got there just after 9 am.
The anaesthetist explained how anaesthetic would be administered during Len's operation. He couldn't believe Len had had to wait this long.
Before the end of the afternoon, we had a phone call confirming that his op is now scheduled for 6th June.
