Farewell!
We handed Fiddlesticks over to Gary and Teresa today. Gary is so excitied, not sure about Teresa but she’s just happy to be in Skipton near where her sister and BiL live in a canalside flat.
Teresa is just a bit worried she might not manage the locks. I told her she should learn to steer and manage the boat herself and let Gary do the locks but she was a bit dubious about that. I learned to steer, moor up and turn the boat round and ended up better at it than Frank!
Frank gave Gary his fold up bike but they had to fix something on it which they managed to do together.
So, the end of another era, we’ve had a few good era’s over the years but now we’re happy to be at home and just go away for holidays and short breaks and just days out. We have so many things we enjoy doing at home and in the village and we feel very content with our lot.
We will also still go down to the mooring to visit Ted and Jackie our boat neighbours and Jennette who owns the campsite and moorings.
I see on my weather app that we have a couple more days of sunshine before the rain sets in. I don’t mind as the garden needs it and it will give me the chance to do some housework which I have neglected while the sun has been shining and also more art.
We’ve noticed that Bella is occasionally limping, not sure if she is getting arthritis. I’m wary about the vet giving her meds for that because it could upset her tummy. If anyone knows any remedies please let me know. I don’t want her to be in pain.
Book and bedtime now and I’m exhausted so, Goodnight :-)X
