W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Architecture
The day started with an early-ish routine dental checkup (all good, fortunately!). After that we'd planned a trip to town, but Son#3 messaged us to say that the weather was so lovely that they'd decided to have a trip to Wallington Hall and Gardens (a National Trust property about 20 miles NW of Newcastle). (He'd taken a week off work to celebrate Grandson A's birthday on Monday.) Well it was a no-brainer, wasn't it? So we met them there and had a lovely day: A was certainly on good form.
This meant that I could take a photo of the front of the hall for Bobsblips's Widwed challenge on architecture. The gardens were gorgeous with so many spring flowers - and (see the extra) a butterfly posed on one for long enough for me to capture a photo.
