Simmering
Gently at Dolgoch station on the journey back to Tywyn on a perfect day to be guarding a train. A busy railway today as the Bank Holiday weekend approaches, the start of what is usually our busiest week of the year. I was working without an assistant or trainee, it's nice to occasionally do a turn with no-one to teach or look after, a turn when I get to do it all myself. The loco crew were great and the visitors very cheerful.
Before and after work Meg had a short walk and this evening, after choir, a longer one down at the estuary, midge free at sunset tonight ... it was awfully midgey when we walked their early evening last week. Choir was fun, we're learning Shenendoah, a nice folky tune, in three parts which diverge in both tune and words so it's quite a challenge. It's a beautiful arrangement and it's beginning to sound really good :-)
