A Reluctant Wave Jumper
I was awake and ready to get my swimming togs on and head for the shore early this morning when I saw the trees outside the bedroom window waving energetically in the wind, looked at my phone and saw that there was quite a moderate ENE wind blowing on shore- a sure prediction of some wave jumping which doesn’t always fill me with glee if they have punch as well. I decided to opt out which is quite rare for me but I turned over in bed for another 2 hours kip, reminding myself that I could always go tomorrow when the wind is westerly.
The morning was sunny again, all the better to go down town and do some retail shopping and you have guessed that when I got home and reviewed my purchases, a blouse and a jumper, I decided to take them back on Saturday. It’s never a good idea to splash the cash on the spur of the moment, but living somewhere where it is possible to return things quickly makes me feel better. I would be a rubbish online shopper.
Having got to 3pm with absolutely not one photo in the can, I took a stroll round the precincts. The road outside leading to the underground car park is almost all under new tarmac. There is about 50yds still to do. There were students sunbathing on the grass outside the EFI building and I wondered how many of them realised that it was a favourite dogs’ toileting spot .I would be cautious about walking on it far less lying on it but what you don’t know doesn’t worry you.
The sun was shining out of a beautifully blue sky and the glass of the SkyScanner building produced the most amazing reflections of the EFI building opposite.
