Cascade

I took the long lens for a walk along the River Wey and Wey Navigations today on the lookout for anything vaguely abstract in nature, and nature in general.

As I walked back I was delighted to spot mayflies, some mating and some on the water as they spent their last day of life creating the next generation. One posed nicely for me on a water plant pad (extra).

A small fish pass has been constructed near Walsham Gates Lock and Weir, and it was here that I found my abstract shot of the fast moving cascade from the canal down to the river.
