Speckled Wood

At last, a butterfly blip. Today I've seen a lot - small copper, orange tip ,  ringlet but this one stayed still longest. The image isn't worthy of going large I must say. It's a bit fuzzy, like my head.  I also saw a little grebe on the reservoir but it was too far away. 

I'm not exerting myself today I missed last night's meal with friends on account of a migraine. I get them so infrequently now, having been a martyr to them in my younger days, that I forget they can still strike. So disappointing but I couldn't drag myself out. 

A pleasant woodland walk was just the ticket this morning and now I'm sitting at peace.
