Tall girl

I woke at 2.15 am and was still awake when it got light at 4am, listening to a podcast about James Cook then I resorted to old Desert Island Discs, dozing from 5 till 7.

I ironed some trousers and tops for the trip. I need to be well-covered. Cousin Duncan, the Reform cousin, said not to bother, a couple of bin liners would do.

Some Geordie jokes have come my way. Mr C creased up when I told him. Here’s one. A customer in Greggs pointed to the cake counter and said he’d have one of those. The assistant replied “A doughnut or a meringue?” I admit I had to say it in my head to get it!

We got the paint in B&Q so let’s hope it works out this time. I doubt Mr C will have time to do more than the walls before we go.

We called on #3 daughter and family. We had a catch up with her in the sun in her sunny garden. The children were squabbling about nothing. Nathaniel had had a late night as had Ella who had stayed with a friend then the pair of them had been at basketball practice this morning. This is Ella showing just how tall she is.
