Nostalgia

It rained last night, not a lot, not enough, but it's raining now, so fingers crossed.

I started the day (feeling really good) which was punctured by my Airbnb guest who demanded a refund as there was some dust and the TV (as shown in the listing) was old. She sent me 17 photos, with no commentary to show me things I already know. It's a rental. Things get bashed (small dent on freezer door), walls get touched up (dents repainted).

This took 2 hrs I won't get back but she's decided dents and scratches mean her friend can't sleep there comfortably so she's cancelled and got a refund.  People are weird.

After that picked up my repaired and serviced bike and came back via the Manor. Partly to check out all was ok after some odd phone calls this morning (in the middle of the Airbnb saga), relay #2 son's thanks and check out the sick situation.

Unloaded the car to see the chain had come off. But, though it was warm it was inside weather so: fixed the chain, did some paint touching up, tried to pair to DLink and failed so that one will go back and I've ordered a new pair. Hopefully that will work.

Then spent rest of the afternoon organising photos of Mum for the birthday, hence me (and her) very young in '53.

Then there's was a flurry of joy as I realised the Dons had achieved the unachievable and beaten Celtic in the Cup. First time since 1990. Great messages from a slightly merry #2 son including a rendition of 'The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen'. Brill! He was 4 the last time they won. I think I be watched the parade down Union St on the TV.

Cooked, ate, drank and watched some TV without subtitles, which was hard.

And yes, it's still raining!!
