Tree Time 2025 Part 5

After a reasonable 7 AM start to feed the Moggy I went back to sleep for a couple of hours. Nice to have a lie in of a weekend!

Later on we decided to go out to Hartsholme Park for a wander. Brian wanted to take his monthly river photo and I wanted to get my tree shot.

It was sunny on and off while we were out, including when I took this. A small self-seeded oak tree is growing in front of it from this angle, and you can just see that someone has built a kind of shelter out of branches beneath it too. The wind was blowing strong through the trees though, and we have had some rain this past couple of days. 

We saw some lovely Grebes nesting and a gorgeous juvenile Jay bird. Apparently there were some deer around but we didn't see them.
