To Doddington Hall

As Bri does not have to work bank holidays in his new job, and since we bought year passes to Doddington Hall while he was out of work we decided to make good use of them today and go look round the house in its normal state, without all the decorations for Christmas, etc.  It was very interesting, with some things I did expect - like tapestries and paintings, and things I did not expect - like a Scold's Bridle! 

I like this shot best of those I took, despite there being a taxidermied pheasant. I am not of fan of shooting, stuffing or indeed eating birds or animals. There are more photos from today on Facebook and I've made the photo album public, but I can't seem to share a link for it.

After that we shopped in Morrison's again. They still don't seem to stock couscous or red miso paste... Never mind, there are other stores...
