Today I got up early and, with our house guest, J was driven into Edinburgh by A. J and I were running the Edinburgh half marathon, which started at 08:00. I was OK for the first 5km, but then started to get too hot. We were running with the wind. - which meant being in largely still air - so at 7km, when I felt I couldn't hold my rhythm, I dropped out. Although I could have reduced my pace to cool down for the sake of finishing, it wouldn't have been a satisfying run. This left me well away from the finish, but I blagged my way onto a #26 bus. At the finish I eventually found someone to report my "did not finish", and soon met up with A.

In the afternoon we went over to Kilmarnock, where we ended up buying a cheap micro-camper that A is keen to use for outings to the Highlands with Django.
