Beetle

I thought from the sound that two angry hornets were trapped in the living room, but it turned out to be one cross beetle. S/he was easy enough to escort out of the window. Obviously this shot also gives me a to-do list for tomorrow (clean windows, clean outdoor chairs, give mint the May chop).

Today is Mother’s Day here (TallGirl remembered - I didn’t!) but obviously that didn’t stop my neighbour disturbing the gorgeous early evening peace mowing their lawn. (They apologised - we just set down rules about noisy gardening times two weeks ago so <shrug>)

In other news, I dehydrated a bunch of nettles today, because that’s what you do to persuade a rabbit to eat hay. Apparently. Let me just say that nettles reduce in volume A Lot when you put them in the dehydrator.
