Des. Res?

We think not! This shack belongs to some 'acquaintances' of ours and, believe it or not, they paid good money for it in order to live "the Spanish dream"... even though they'd tried it before down south and failed. After waiting six months for planning permission, even though the permission is only for an almacen (tool/tractor shed), building work began with the intention of building it larger and inserting more than the one allowed window. Their land and particularly the area immediately around the building is strewn with rubbish that they didn't see the need to take to the tip.

Unfortunately for them everything is now on hold because they have had to return to England due to serious illness, having never registered with the Spanish health authorities inspite of living here for over three years. Goodness knows what will happen to the building. It will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to sell. It may seem hard, but we have little sympathy for them. We tried to help but they did nothing to help themselves.
