Today is the 41st Wedding Anniversary of my cousin Sandra's marriage to Paul's brother David. It is where I first met Paul and we started going out even though I was teaching in Oswaldtwistle and he was working for Moulinex in Coulsdon, Surrey. We married in 1986 and Paul moved to Accrington where we lived before moving to Rishton.
It has been cold and rainy with a few sunny intervals.11c but feels like 8c.
The seedlings are Pink Lady apples, grown from apple pips and packet sown nasturtiums. They are tucked up in the greenhouse now, safe from the heavy rain.
A gardening tip, sprinkling sugar on the lawn once a month, can help nourish the grass. Google it for more information.
I did my morning tasks, fed the cats and garden birds then went to buy our Daily Mail.
Later I went down to the Co op with a few items for the Parish Church foodbank.
Now I am watching Little Women, on Film4. Maria and me watched this film at the cinema in Blackburn in 2019 when it first came out and it was enjoyable to see on Boxing Day of that year.
Holly and Hunter are fast asleep beside me and Paul is watching sport on his Tablet.
A quote from Jane Austen, a writer my daughter Maria and me both love. " There is nothing like staying at home for real comfort." True for today, now the rain is heavy!
I hope you are enjoying a decent Bank Holiday Monday and thank you for visiting my site blip friends.
