last for our morning, but it
made a lovely start

I was out on Mission Flats Road by 6:30. I drove to the end of the road to get a panorama of the Thompson River delta.

I was pleased to find the pair of ospreys on the nest. I wish I could see into the nest but I must watch from afar. If it weren't for my telephoto lens, I wouldn't even know they were there. 

The river is looking quite full now. Views to the river don't show much shoreline or sandbars. Our summer temperatures are just starting to come up so we might expect the river to rise further before spring melt is done. 

I stopped for a quick shot of my mountains as I turned for home. From this angle they appear as one. 

I'm not feeling up to much. May it be a quiet day for me. *We have royal visitors in Ottawa.
