Tiny Tuesday - ‘Something Multicoloured’

We were a depleted house group today, with two of our friends missing. Nevertheless we had a good meeting, made even better by the lemon drizzle biscuits I brought with me!

I got fairly soaked walking home in the rain, despite wearing my plastic mac with the hood up. I brought in the food waste and garden waste bins, which had been emptied by the refuse collectors this morning. Noticing that the vine on the front corner of the house was starting to climb further up towards the gutter and soffits, I cut a lot of it down and thus half-filled the garden waste bin almost immediately! As we only have a fortnightly garden waste collection, I am fairly certain I will have some trips to the tip in the next couple of weeks as I try to get the front and back gardens looking a little less wild. Having almost got completely stuck squeezing past stacks of boxes in the garage yesterday, there will also be trips to the charity warehouse, as I am completely fed up with the surplus stuff. I clearly don’t need it, as it’s been in there since last August untouched. I need to get a grip and dispose of it before summer’s over.

I phoned my sister this afternoon. She’s eating a little better now, but still getting very easily exhausted as she slowly recovers. I won’t see her tomorrow, as she’s not up to it yet.

Many thanks to Pinkhairedlady for hosting the Tiny Tuesday challenge in May, with this week’s theme of ‘Something Multicoloured’. Here are some of my needlework pins on a felt pincushion which I made donkeys’ years ago, the only tiny things I could think of in the house that were all different colours. Oh that I had the time to do some sewing - maybe one day…..
