Elkie at Queen's Hall

Woke thinking I'd swim and then went back to sleep again, so didn't.

Once up I got quite a lot done, including the work on shortening the trousers.  That had to be fitted round a 90 minute Interims catch up on Zoom.  First time I've used that for a while.  Outside after the sun there was rain.

Went into town early as Uniqlo had messaged to say the trousersI ordered last night had arrived.  Great service.

The rain had stopped so I walked up to the Lyceum and had coffee with B and H before the group.  Passed the Floral Clock which is being planted up.  It's honour of the RNIB this year. We had a great drama session, analysing 'The Audience' and then improvising our own scenes.  It was also really great fun.

I got home quickly, chatted with J who was returning my luggage scales before flying to Verona tomorrow and ate.  Then out again to the Queen's Hall.

It was Elkie Brooks Long Farewell Tour.  Great concert (though the demographic matched the octogenarian singer), and the crowd were certainly her fan base.

It was still light when we came out before 10 and a #37 arrived just after I got to the bus stop.  Interesting chat with another concert goer who had come down from Drumoak to attend.

Think today was a good day.
