Wanderings and meanders

Bronte Parsonage Museum

Howarth, Yorkshire

An overcast day and some smirring rain at various points.

Spent a good while at the Parsonage Museum. B is a regular, it had been years since I last visited and J had never been before. Despite that I think we all learned something or saw something new.

We wandered around Howarth village, paused for lunch and meandered our way down to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in time to see a steam train arrive and then continue on. In and out of shops (especially bookshops - and a copy of Cranford picked up) to ease the hike back up the hill. It made a good excuse to stop for tea and cake.

Scenic drive back to Harrogate where we had a pause for coffee and to see A. Meze at Papas, where there was a real buzz in the restaurant and we ordered a good mix of dishes to share.
