Small Tortoiseshell

The rain over the past few nights has worked wonders in Elford Walled Garden. Everything has just burst into bloom.

There were a few butterflies around, but they were rather elusive but it was such a relief to see them. 

The roses and the wildflowers are terrific, extras.

And I’ve added a couple of close ups of the well dressing displays that I took yesterday but could not share before the Ascension Day blessing.
