A different photo
The photo is of my daughter, Karen and my youngest granddaughter, Sofia. It's rare to have a photo with both smiling at the same time!
Visited Terry and the registrar had seen him. He was told that the chest xray showed that the pleural effusion "if anything it's slightly worse". Also, his Hb has dropped and the Reg said it can be one of two reasons - either he has had a bleed or he is not eating enough. I don't know how much it has dropped as no figure was mentioned and Terry had not thought to ask. He is to have the CT scan tomorrow.
He was weighed this afternoon and has lost 6kg but we think some of that might be down to losing excess fluid. At any rate, they are referring him back to the dietitian. Not sure how useful that will be since he literally cannot get much food down - things are not moving through his digestive tract how they should. No matter what the food is, he can only eat a small amount then that's it.
He slept half of the time I was visiting and seemed shattered yet he said he slept quite well last night.
I am really missing him at home. The house is not the same without him. I don't feel they are getting to grips with this.
