Seriously?

Mostly Didim

Rufus and I took the 13.00 Dolmus (mini bus) to Fevzi Paşa in order to see Gaby, John and Janice at Blue Lagoon complex (where I used to live).  Although Rufus was very good, I don't think I'll take him on the bus again, not because of the journey but because of the walk from the bus stop in FP which includes crossing the main road at a bend and a forked junction where the road is very wide, unmarked, with no central reservation anymore (been removed for some inexplicable reason) and the traffic is constant, fast, and predominantly large noisy lorries which freaked us both out. Still, we made it and as soon as Rufus realised where we were going, to see his favourite BL person, "uncle" John, he perked up and trotted along happily.

Leaving the boy with John and Janice, Gaby and I went in to Didim for yet more retail errands that didn't get done yesterday.  This afternoon was completely successful - and after walking nearly 8000 steps in the warm sunshine and filling the car boot with our lucky finds, we drove back to BL where I sat for an hour with J and J enjoying a much needed and very cold beer.

By 18.30 all four of us (+ the woofer) were comfortably seated in Hina restaurant on the Fevzipaşa sea front,  for a really delicious meal - their food in this family run business is exquisite. As usual I had spinach ravioli in a rich and creamy white sauce. Taste bud sensation.

After dinner we all went back to J and J's villa for more chat and a beer.  Gaby left an hour later, but Rufus and I are staying the night (again) so we three chatted for a while longer before finally zzzz time came upon us all.

Today's main photo is of the central mosque in Didim as seen from one of the pedestrianised side streets. The extra is Fevzipasa sea front.
