A Grand Send-Off and a Grand Welcome
It had to come, and it was today: my mother-in-law Jean’s funeral.
It was held in the beautiful Paisley Abbey and after a rich life of almost 100 years, her send-off was very fitting and full of love, family, friendships and memories. She was a strong woman, a character, hard-working, wise and funny. We got along very well and I couldn’t have asked for a better mother-in-law. I’ll miss her very much. The minister of the Abbey led a truly lovely service, keeping it personal and true to her life. See here for Bb’s blip, which included the loving eulogy that he delivered. Not a dry eye in the chapel:

And now for the grand welcome! My pics today (and the extra) is of us with month-old Bjorn, our great-nephew and first baby to our niece, Kirstin (in the extra). So lovely to meet him! He’s a very calm baby and I enjoyed holding him in the Glynhill Hotel after the funeral and then Bb took his turn in the Indian restaurant at night, where we had dinner with close family. A grand welcome to you, baby Bjorn! The cycle of life continues.
