Lots of schnauzers!
I took my new walking stick/seat with me round the Links today - trying it out for my upcoming London visit. But no... it's a bit too tall, fractionally heavier than my stick, so very tiring to use. But it will be very useful - it has a carrying pouch, which unfortunately looks as if it's a rifle... so imagine the cafuffle when I try to get into Parliament for our tour with it slung over my shoulder...
JR only had one gym session today, then popped off for a coffee morning with some of her gym pals. It was a nice day, so we decided to walk round to a fairly new cafe - JR has been before with her gym pals. I wanted to do a bit more walking, and so did JR, as she'd only gone to the local gym.
The cafe was good. It'll be a regular route for me now. The background music was great (all old 60/70s stuff), passable coffee and pastry. We had a nice seat by the window - but our peace was shattered when four young lassies came and sat next to us and proceeded to scream and cackle at high volume. Time to move on. I thanked the waiter/owner for the music on the way out.
We walked all the way back, too. Though I could have got a bus. But I'm in training for London. I was stuffed. (8,469 steps). JR then walked round to Waitrose to get something, and because she'd only gone to the local gym, she didn't have enough steps. (13,436 steps)
We met THREE schnauzers while we were out. First of all we met Hamish, Archie's absolute favourite. We also met little Bramble and another Archie. They're very common popular in these parts!
