Sunday Funday ...
... Cottontail Bunny Day.
We had another fun filled day ... although maybe not as fun as yesterday's activities.
After a relaxing morning we headed out for a lovely walk at the Palmer Bike Trail after lunch. We saw lots of interesting things ... including this sweet Eastern cottontail rabbit. Please have a look full screen.
And we also saw a Gray Catbird pair feeding their young chicks. I had no idea that the catbirds build their nests in shrubbery very low to the ground. We were able to look right into the nest as they were feeding the chicks. It was fun to watch.
Then on the way home we stopped at our favorite waterfowl observation area to photograph the birds there. And that's where we saw the geese and goslings in the Extras ... all 13 goslings! I have never seen so many goslings with one pair of geese before! I hope the parents can keep them all fed and happy! The little gosling on the far right was squawking the entire time we were watching them! Too cute!
