A bright and very
beautiful morning but not
much activity

I was out the door at 7:30 and on my way to McArthur Island Park. I let the morning get ahead of me today and I pay the price in less wildlife and more human life.

The slough is very muddy with the river pushing its surplus in and so much debris floating about. It's not a very attractive place for the birds, or so it seems today.

I found one handsome mallard cruising through the reflections in the slough. I've not seen one duckling this spring. The ducks must have deferred to the Canada geese and taken their broods elsewhere.

Even the geese were elusive this morning. I had to content myself with marmots along the south side of the park. They never fail to amuse me.

I'm needed at the office this morning, so I must blip and be gone. I'm looking forward to a visit with a gal pal this afternoon.
