Home Again

We've just got home and the buckets, spades and crab lines are about to be put away.
Not much sand round here.
And not too many crabs.
In fact it's rubbish round here.....
We packed up this morning which didn't take too long considering it's a massive house and our stuff was strewn all over it.
We were still loading up at 10am when the housekeeper arrived and it was nice to chat to her. She'd bought a handyman to fix the wall in our bathroom where Miss E had swung on the towel rail and pulled it off the wall - along with a good bit of the plaster!
The house is on the estate where the Latitude Festival is held and owned by the man who organises it. The headliners stay there every year and the housekeeper was telling us some interesting stories. No wonder she didn't seem fazed by a broken towel rail!
It was raining when we went into Southwold. The first rain we've had all week, we've been so lucky.
More fun and games on the 2p machines!
Miss E was giddy when she won a Mini keyring.
Mummy got a bit obsessed with getting another one which was tantalisingly close to the edge.
I was getting a bit worried that I'd have to send everyone off to lunch while I manically fed 2ps into the machine but thankfully it fell just in the nick of time. Woohoo!!!
Only cost about £4!!!!
Everyone apart from me had fish and chips for lunch. I had a mackerel bap which was delicious. Smoked mackerel, mayonnaise and rocket. Yummy!!!
Then it was a wet and windy walk on the pier followed by ice cream and fridge magnet shopping.
The journey home was uneventful and seemed much quicker than the journey there. The Little Misses were asleep much of the way which probably helped!!
So now we're home. Back to reality. In our pokey little house with no people in it!!
Ha ha!! It's actually nice to be home but I do miss our beautiful holiday house and all our lovely friends. It's been a wonderful holiday.
