Poppies

The only picture I’ve taken today, while I was recovering at the end of this week’s 5K run. After proving to myself last week that I could run that sort of distance again, without suffering pain in my knee, I decided I would attempt at least 5K a week from now on, in addition to regular gym visits.
A good start in that I managed 5.1K today, although a few uphill bits on my chosen route tested my commitment as well as my legs! I’m hoping it will become easier as time goes on and I can work back up to 10K runs.
I’m not totally sure when - or why - these poppies were installed. There are more on another tree and I’m assuming they were done in conjunction with the College’s Remembrance Day commemoration one year.
Another play rehearsal tonight. It still seems strange reading the lines rather than learning them. And it’s amazing how, even with the lines in front of you, you can stumble over the simplest of words…
