A day in the life

The students of the Kalmar maritime academy got their diplomas today and for the first time chose to hold the ceremony at the theatre in Kalmar. There was about a hundred students so the whole thing was divided into two sessions of a little over an hour. The ceremony is very formal but lightened up by the different teachers trying to make jokes while presenting their particular group of students, some creating laughter, some creating a more polite laughter. Afterwards most of them end up outside the theatre where photos are taken and hurras' are heard. We asked one of the teachers how many of the students actually have got a job to go to and she answered -all of them. Seems a light fortune for them.

Before leaving for the theatre I met up with my landlord, who were very pleased with the result so far and we decided to put up a proper scaffold for the gables. That will be next week, when I can hopefully finish the job.
