Alpine Memories

No trip to the big mountains for me this year.  No dog cover here.   There are happy reminders in the garden though, amongst them Anthericum liliago aka St Bruno's Lily.   Not a lily but the flowers, although much smaller, are reminiscent of the Madonna Lily.   It's a plant of higher meadows in the Alps but quite happy here in a garden at sea level.   It's about eighteen inches tall

A busy sort of day.   Saw Jamie to the station in the rain this morning before settling down to some admin jobs.   Quite a few ticks on the list by the end of the day.   This afternoon I continued in similar vein before taking Meg for a walk along the seashore.   At the evening community pottery session I was the most experienced person there which is unusual.   Only a small turnout but I was able to help with a few queries and sorted the a couple of glazing jobs of my own.   I also rolled some clay and brought a couple of part completed pieces home to dry out overnight before I fettle them and return them to pottery tomorrow.
