I caught the bus into town so that I could return the sandals to M&S, then went to see The Salt Path at The Quad. I wasn't expecting the film to be much good, I don't know why, but it was lovely and more or less how I'd imagined everything and, just like the book, it made me cry. The author, Raynor Winn, was involved with the production, which obviously helped.
On the way home I got off the bus early and called into the allotment, did some hoeing and tidying until it began to rain.
I'd taken no photos, but then my eldest brother WhatsApped about his 70th birthday in three weeks - he's having a BBQ on the wide towpath near his boat. The screenshots are the result of me checking the location with him. He's suggesting camping nearby, but I'm not up for that and, since it's an afternoon event, I'll drive there and back on the day. It'll be 2.45 hours driving each way, but at least I'll end up in my own bed!
