Still Glides The Stream
Another slow-ish day. After breakfast I walked to the allotment in the sunshine to pick strawberries and chard. I returned laden! Then I pottered in the garden, sowing more Borlotti beans as I’ve not yet managed to get any to germinate. Some of the afternoon was spent progressing the switch of our mobile phone provider, then unpacking the delivery of a low fruit cage to protect the blueberries and gooseberries at the allotment.
My blip shows the River Ems. It passes through the village and this is one of Merlin’s dipping spots for cooling off. I paused to enjoy the gentle sound of the passing water and frothy cow parsley flowers.
Listening to Kate Rusby as I went about things today. It’s a long time since I’ve heard her voice.
