Nicky and her Nikon

Rainy day reflections

Last night I made prawn tacos for supper, and then Tommy went to London to a friend's birthday party, while Inca decided to rather stay at home. Inca and I got settled in to watch the new and much waited for season of Ginny and Georgia on Netflix - yeah, don't judge us, it's a typical popular Netflix drama with very beautiful people in the roles, and it's great fun!

Tommy's missing suitcase was delivered last night! He was very pleased to finally get all his things back again.

This morning Inca left to go to a family wedding, Tommy worked and Gavin and I met friends for a dog walk followed by coffee at our local cafe. This was taken on our walk, which thankfully was dry - it only started raining this afternoon. The weather forecast has been so wrong lately, always predicting something like 60% rain all day and it just doesn't rain until the end of the day.

After lunch Gavin and I went back to the motor dealership to test drive another car, and this seemed to take all day as we had to discuss various models afterwards and it's all getting a bit boring now. We only got home at 6pm and I started making dinner so I have had no time for anything else today.

I mentioned previously that Meriel had been very successful in getting a posting abroad with the Foreign Office - she is off to Rome for four years from about September '26. However, in the meantime she has been posted to Paris, a much sought after embassy, for a short term posting of five months. She left tonight travelling on the Eurostar accompanied by Luke to help with all her many suitcases. Move over Emily in Paris, we have Meriel about to hit Paris and Rome!
