As green as it gets

The prairie is at its best right now. I went out to Mom's to help plant some of her planters. The Flagg Iris and yellow peas are still going and hundreds of bright pink blooms on the tiny cacti are all around the house.
My extras though are some long lost photos that my mom found. They have a mythical bearing in my life. These were taken around 1975 when my family was camping in the Montana mountains. The lake is Fairy Lake. My brother Fred and I found this raft and were doing what kids do. I must have been in the 3rd grade and Fred was in 4th.
This woman from Alaska came to the shore and asked if she could take photos. She was doing a photography course. And when she got home she printed them and sent us copies.
These photos were lost for years but I knew it had happened. Mom found them several years ago and then lost them again. She just found them again in a pile of photos she was going through. I promptly took them and have them in frames.
It's such a memory of carefree wildness.
