Treasure
It is another cold, but less windy day. It feels distinctly warmer than yesterday as a result, but still far from conducive to messing about in the garden.
You would think that this gives me the perfect opportunity to catch up with Blips. Somehow that hasn't happened (yet). Instead I spent the morning messing about in the kitchen and this afternoon mostly reading, in the study with the potbelly doing what it's good at.
Bean has supervised from a prone position in front of the stove.
The Blip is one of my most prized possessions. A friend gave it to me when I left Australia.
Each time I open it I send a silent thank you to her for such a special gift. I can waste spend hours within its pages, moving from one fascinating word and its etymology to another.
The typeface is so small that the top shelf there contains a magnifying glass. Every copy comes with one.
