After the rain
The yellow flag irises have spread and almost taken over the front of this flower bed. It is a surprise, because it is a very dry area.
The perennial geranium, providing the opposite in the colour wheel, is called Anne Thompson. I love the two colour together.
I had a lovely colleague called Anne Thompson when I worked at the Fleming Nuffield Unit in Newcastle during my training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She moved to Lincoln for her consultant job.
Today I have enjoyed packing. It has been relatively easy, so I think I must have forgotten crucial things. (Yes, hazelh, I do have a list but it related to a holiday in 2021!)
Tomorrow I will head north on the first leg of my journey. Joan will be here to look after the cats, birds and house (in that order).
I don’t think that Oscar came home last night. Daisy has been examining the suitcase and then brought me a little dead gift as a leaving present!
