My day

Abstract Thursday…

the challenge is SHAPES. Whenever I go to cook pasta I’m never sure which shape to choose, this evening is it a spiral shape. I am sure it doesn’t taste any different.

When we first moved back to Dubbo after getting married and starting our family Bob helped Dad on the farm and ended up managing a lucerne (alfalfa) hay making business. Mum did a lot of the cooking as I was busy with a toddler and new baby. We had tuna dishes so frequently neither of us had wanted to eat it again until yesterday when I suddenly felt like a Tuna bake. So tonight we are having tuna and vegetables in a white sauce and topped with cheese + spiral pasta.

Today I am a bit tired after the hydrotherapy but good enough to walk around the block (7 minutes faster / kilometre than a few weeks ago). I’m slow by most peoples standards but I kept up with Bob as he went slow for me. Then I tackled the gardening job I wanted to do. Nothing is ever easy. The first pot I asked Bob to move fell apart. It has a large daphne in it and way too heavy for me to touch at the moment. Next I was getting out some old Greek Majoram from a pot but it has taken over and didn’t just come out with a little tug. The roots have completely gone through the whole pot and I can’t shift it unless I get all the potting mix out. It is a big pot too. After half an hour I decided to give up for the day. I did get 6 poppies and 9 tulips in another pot so that is a win.
